There is something so valuable when putting ones own visceral nature on the work. I once put a capsule filled with lapis lazuli, silver white and Cobalt blue pigments. It was literally a pill to commit suicide right in the middle of the canvas. Other than that I always thought about how much of my skin was left on the dry pastel works I did after mixing so many shades with my fingers.
I really like how this looks.
